The creativity just starts flowing…
And no, he didn’t drink that beer first!
Round 500!
Teeing off. It was a long round, but a HUGE milestone…
A Few Milestones About to be Reached
OF course…. the 500th round mark. Coming up VERY soon.
If you do the math, that comes out to a nice round number of NINE THOUSAND holes! Also, you can see that with 151 days left, even one round per day beats the record. Looking good! And speaking of looking good…
We have been very lucky to have a few short weeks of one of our favorite golfers living with us, prior to her first apartment in NYC! ( another milestone.[intense_icon type=”ok”] ) Pictured below, Michelle is getting in some golf while in Ridgefield.
It has been fun!
Many of you have been asking when Barry will hit number 611 to tie the record. What do you think?? Hit “Leave a Reply” below to weigh in on the website, or send an email with your prediction. I will post who was closest when we know…
If You Could Walk to London
Barry has now walked the distance (in air miles) between New York City and London, England. That is 3490 miles.
How was the 457th Round? “Nunn Better”
Which of these guys would rather be at home enjoying the pool?
Hint: it is the one in the blue shirt.
July 4th on the Links
Many thanks to Whit, Gary, George, Jane, and all the other RGC staff who were working on July 4th so we could play! The Gibbons girls got a chance to be with their record-breaking dad on his 434th round…
Got a little swing analysis…
And of course, carried the bags the whole 18 holes with a smile!
Also, thanks to David and Kristen Benson for the the 19th hole… 🙂
Retirement… of a Golf Ball
Got this text from Barry.Â
If you can’t read it, it says, “Time to retire” (I got excited to read that, but then… he was talking about the BALL!) Pro V1 personalized with his lowest score, and the tell-tale blue dot.
It also says, “Played with this ball for 6 1/2 rounds. 120 holes. Time to send it to the retirement home…it served me well”. [intense_parallax_scene background_type=”image” image=”523″ imagemode=”parallax” height=”500″ breakout=”1″ advance_arrow_background_color=”#ffffff”]

You may be asking, “Is he getting sentimental about a golf ball?” Answer: In a word- yes! A leeetle-bit crazy.
And you may also be asking “How many brand new Pro V1’s did Barry find on the golf course during that 120 holes (and various other “pearls” for Ronnie and Dave (and Joy and Lisa) etc…)?
I am guessing the net add was in double digits.
Waste? or Wonderful? 50 Days
Barry has now spent the equivalent of 50 (24 hour) days on the golf course, since January 1, 2016.
Waste or Wonderful? What could YOU do with 50 days?
Webmaster Hiatus… New Stats! 400 Rounds
As the sun sets on another gorgeous day in Ridgefield, the website side of this endeavor finally gets some attention. I imagine during the summer there will continue to be fewer postings, but I will at least keep the running totals going. I need to have a summer too 🙂
